September 22, 2011 - We are pleased to announce that we are now in production of the Nautilus! The first batch is scheduled to depart Asia in the next 3-4 weeks. Due to the size and complexity of each piece, there will be a number of small shipments spaced approximately 3-4 weeks apart.

Explore the mysteries of the deep with Capt. Nemo’s haunting Nautilus, as we unveil the most accurate, detailed collectible yet offered of this iconic submarine from Disney’s Oscar™-winning adaptation of Jules Verne’s epic 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

At an incredible four feet long, this approximately 1/45th scale Nautilus offers extraordinary details, including internal and external lighting and re-creations of both the lush salon and the all-important wheelhouse, providing collectors with the opportunity to peer into the inner sanctum of this enormous underwater vessel.

Inspired by the remarkable and unforgettable designs of Harper Goff, the eFX Nautilus combines the graceful elegance of the submarine’s riveted exterior with interior details never before offered in a high-end collectible.

The Nautilus has attracted an enthusiastic fan base since the film’s release in 1954.  Described in Verne’s novel as a “masterpiece containing masterpieces,” the Disney film version of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea presented the craft as an exquisite piece of design, Victorian yet futuristic – and instantly recognizable. The Nautilus is a Disney icon, and our artisans and engineers have worked diligently to develop this extraordinary re-creation.

A lay-away plan for the Nautilus will be available to pay the balance when they are in stock.  For this item, we will be offering 2 lay-away plans, a 4 payment plan and a 6 payment plan, charged automatically to your credit card approximately 30 days apart.  There is no extra charge to use our optional payment plans; however, there are cancellation fees.  For the 4 payment plan, each payment will be $324.75 (D23 members 3 x $324.75 plus 1 x $224.75) and for the 6 payment plan, each payment will be $216.50 (D23 members 5 x $216.50 plus 1 x $116.50).  Shipping and Handling and California State Sales tax, if applicable, will be added to the last payment.  The first payment of the lay-away plan will not be charged to your credit card until the Nautilus is in stock and ready to ship.  YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DECIDE ON THE LAY-AWAY PLAN UNTIL WE NOTIFY YOU THAT THE NAUTILUS IN STOCK AND READY TO SHIP.  Please contact customer service if you have any questions.
